The space of Disse normally contains

A. Kupffer cells.
B. bile.
C. fat storing cells of Ito.
D. Kupffer cells, bile and fat storing cells of Ito, so choices A, B and C above are all correct.
E. Kupffer cells and fat storing cells of Ito, but not bile, so both choices A and C above are correct.

fucked if i know.

C: fat storing cells of Ito. <---why not? Is it a good guess? Who knows.

(I teach standardized tests for a living: if you're stuck, bubble in the letter you have LEAST of.)

ooh. good guess, but they bank on us knowing how to take standardized tests-- in this case, the answer is D. all of the above.

oopsie. actually, you are right. kupffer cells are in the *sinusoids*, not the Disse space (picture was not clear). K. i'm taking your standardized test taking skills into account on the next test. Any other tips?

I remember Kupffer cells being part of the liver. Sporozoites have to make their way from the blood into the hepatocytes (kupffer cells) through the space of Disse. so, I go with A. (I had to do a journal club on development stage vaccines for Malaria.)
