I have taken up knitting - kind of again. I did it for a little while when I was ten or so but haven't touched it since. I am attempting to make an ipod sock (I already have one, but how much more awesome would it be to make one myself!), and I have a few rows done. It's sitting on the needle like a little flag. It's in a nice shade of green

Glad you are liking knitting so far. We will certainly have to get together for more lessons. A scarf would probably be a good next step, it requires a lot of knitting, but you'll probably be using bigger needles and yarn than your iPod sock.

I think I can scare up some knitted scarf patterns, as well as some discloths and afghans if you like. I also have some beautiful shawl patterns that you're welcome to go through once you're a little more confident with your skills. Though it'll have to wait until I go visit my parents, since most of my patterns are still at my folks' place
