do you reckon - knowing how incredibly homophobic lovecraft was - "We’re also into the gay stuff, so there’s some of that as well." is an attempt by the film-makers to re-address the balance as it were?

i find the fact there is any sexuality at all rather odd as it's possible to count on less than one hand the amount of women lovecraft included in his books and the simple idea of sexual preferences was never discussed.
sure, sex sells - but with the obvious exception of "the gay cowboy movie" - homosexual sex sells rather poorly.
i have the sinking feeling this will be another Dagon style cinematic abortion.

Well, rocked is too strong. But 'wasn't too bad as Lovecraft movies go'. The town looked absolutely perfect, certainly.
