(Belated) Freaky Friday
Was out Friday night and forgot to post yesterday, so here's the Friday post today, two days late :P
MOVIES
I'm still really keen on seeing Hugo (directed by Martin Scorsese), but it's so expensive to go to the movies here :(
Friend recommended some movies to me that I'm yet to watch. All of these are sci-fi dystopian future type movies with twist endings
Brazil (1985)
Directed by Terry Gilliam (one of the Monty Python boys!)
Metropolis (1927)
Produced during the stable period of the Weimar Republic
Metropolis (2011)
Anime, based on the manga by Osamu Tezuka, which was inspired by the original 1927 film.
12 Monkeys (1995)
This one is a post-apocalyptic future film with Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis, also directed by Terry Gilliam

VALENTINE'S DAY
St. Valentine's Day is on Tuesday. Anyone doing anything special? Apparently I'm going over to the b/f's place to watch The Empire Strikes Back. He says it was purely coincidence that we'd be seeing each other on Valentine's Day, lol. I really do hate Valentine's Day, for all the typical "single person" reasons. It really is a "Hallmark Holiday" though. I've already told the b/f to either not get me anything or if he does, to get it the day after Valentine's day when everything is hella cheap :P
