Of course she was slated by many. Calling her ungrateful. Stuck up. A bitch. Just the Smallville fandom showing how classy it is. Once again.

She had this to say on her official facebook account:

I don't know why people are making a huge deal about this, most actors don't watch the show their on. Why would they watch the show if they're no longer on it?

I'm not crazy about Lana's ending arc myself. I like KK though and I like how she's willing to defend her role that she's so closely associated with.

I'm not either. Not really. But I don't hate it as much as some do. I just wish people didn't feel the need to post hateful things about her because she's moved on from the show. It's like you can't win. They don't want her back but they hate her for saying she won't watch the finale.

I mean, get over yourselves.

I'm actually planning to post that vid on my LJ later, because I saw it earlier today and laaaaaauuughed my ass off. The look on her face...Heeeee.

Most emphatically was never, ever a fan of Lana, and I thought her ending arc was beyond absurd, but I think Kristin Kreuk is pretty cool. And it's really unfortunate that she felt the need to issue any kind of response, and to feel she had to word it so, so carefully because she knew people would be wanting to twist it to attack her somehow.

It was a J-O-B for her, one that ended a long time ago. Honestly, I would have thought less of her if she'd said she WAS still watching it. She's okay in my book.

...Okay. I thought I had a lot of respect for Kristin before. But now? She's officially awesome. Very well said. I love her reply, though, like you said, I don't exactly share her opinion on Lana's final arc. Totally awesome, though.
