I wasn't going to make a 'The end is neigh' post but having read the numerous posts made by my flisties over the last few days, I couldn't let today pass without comment after all
( Read more... )
I was looking for something and then that led to going through some old posts and comments...and while I know--it's still a little crazy to believe that there are people I've known in fandom for years.
I don't think this experience will ever be repeated again for me, Not with another show. Not with another fandom.
I feel the same way.
I honestly don't think it's quite inputting into my brain that it's the end. Ahhhh...*shakes it off*
I have fandom friends that I have known longer than my co-workers, who I've know for the same length of time as some of my uni friends. Only my school and childhood friends have been in my life longer.
I know that it's the end and I have all these feelings but I think it'll really hit me when there is no more Smallville news to look forward to. Ever.
:) I really enjoyed listening to Allison's interview on podcast last night (and I noticed you got one of your questions in again, missy! Good job!). I hope we get to see her again on TV or in film--selfishly I'm hoping for TV because then we'll get to see more of her.
I'm cursing Smallville right now because I'm at work and trying to get an expense report done and I can't concentrate on a damned thing. I feel pretty optimistic that we're going to get a happy ending tonight but my stomach is still all full of butterflies (mostly excited but also a little nervous, I think). Quit running my life, stupid show! :p
But flawed as the show is, this has been my first real intensive online fandom experience and it's been more positive than negative, by a lot. And I'm grateful for that and for the people I've met and the friends I've made here too.
I loved her interview. I loved that Chlollie was something that Justin and Allison just decided to do. Nevermind that ollie was supposed to be in love with Lois and Chloe was all 'I don't feel a thing because I am scarred'. I'm dying to know how that conversation went down and how/why they decided to play it like they did.
I sent in like eight questions. They were bound to ask one :D
I feel for you. I've thought about nothing but the show all day. Allison's interview has me optimistic for a happy ending too.
It's crazy how this show brings people together :)
I loved that that was just totally an acting decision on their parts too, and I LOVE that they collaborated and came up with it together. Thank you Justin and Allison! :) And I agree, I'm feeling very optimistic, especially after her interview.

I'm going to pretend that I remember it word for word instead of just generally.
