Note the url... it isn't the cnn website, just an extremely well set up mockery. If you click on the CNN logo at the top left, you are actually sent to the auritribe website (which doesn't work for me btw). Upon closer inspection, you can also determine that a CNN reporter wouldn't try to question "Tifa's breasts."

Pretty cool though.

Seriously though... If they had left out the part about Tifa's breasts, as well as some of the more joking parts, I would have totally believed it... I could actually see Bush saying something about how Mario doesn't commit terrorist attacks. And Hillary Clinton is just a bitch, so all of that wasn't much of a stretch.

I would seriously laugh, though, if they took an 8(?) year old game from an outdated platform off the market. It isn't even sold at target, best buy, or walmart anymore.
