Oh boy, a great way to make a 'going steady' announcement...Maya is really cute though.
It seems like Brandon is a much better man than his son Kyle. Maybe Carolyn married the wrong guy. At any rate, he seems confident he can fix things and Carolyn seems satisfied too.
Like the previous chapter, the lighting and posing is very well done, very natural. The characters are fabulous looking!
Thank yooou! I confess that my original hood was populated with pretty people. lol! But I've let genetics run its course and there are more and more normal looking simmies roaming around.
Brandon has turned out to be a really interesting character to play. In sharing the story I really had to flesh him out, and think about his back story (in order to explain Kyle's back story) and now he's one of my favourites! I did think in working out this scene that their personalities/energies are rather complimentary, but that would be a whoooole other story! lol!
Plus in Book I Carolyn makes a film with the central plot being a man travelling to the Caribbean for his son's funeral and meeting and falling in love with his widow (Carolyn). The idea just popped into my head, but if I do say so myself, it'd make an excellent movie! Ha ha!
Thanks so much for you generous feedback! Once again, this is my week's highlight! :D
Well, at least Maya is being upfront with her mother about her new beau (as opposed to sneaking out, etc). I really enjoy the family's dynamic and as well as Carolyn's relationship with her children. I just hope Kyle doesn't mess with that!
Speaking of which - I'm glad Brandon is realizing what type of person his son is. And yes, she really needs to get that in writing. What if he tries to flee the country with the children just to get back at her? I wouldn't put it past him!
I'm so glad you are back and posting again! *Eeeeeeppppp*
Thanks Eileen! I'm glad you remained committed. I was thrilled when my stats showed that you had visited. I know from the page stats that were one of the faithful followers of this tale through all the ups and downs. :-)
Carolyn is evolving. She's much more assertive now. Which makes sense really, given all the Kyle drama over the years.
As I mentioned in a comment above, Brandon has turned out to be an interesting character. I'm enjoying playing/writing for him. I used to just skip visiting his lot when I get down to just playing, what with his being a widower, living on his own and all. But he seems to be becoming a more integral part of the story. It wasn't my plan, but as I play and write it's just kinda happening!
As to Maya. Well...Maya. So much more complicated that she appears at first glance. And that's all I'm going to say about that for now! ;-)
Thanks so much for saying taking time to say hi! I am flattered and humbled.
