random nyc things:

-men here are v. vocal, and it's sweet but possibly insignificant. you/i can walk down the street and men will just click their tongues and say "mmm, beautiful," "daaamn," or something to that effect.

-dumpster digging is completely acceptable in my current state. catherine, my roomie, does it too. in fact, her v. chic

I moved into my new apt. downtown in October and have curtains and a curtain rod, but neither are up. I have the same rationale as you: I don't look at them, they won't look at me!
