Don't despair Pete. I know how hard and overwhelming all of this must feel right now and I'm so sorry you're having to endure any of it. Try to remember to breathe. Your kitties will come back to you. You've gotten some really good advice and if you employ it, I'm certain it will work. A friend of mine just lost her kitty in Chicago and he'd never ever been outside. Guess what? He came back and he was only a couple houses away. You know where they are and that's a really good start. If I was there we would cat-wrangle together for sure.

That sounds so scary... we had our cat escape just for one NIGHT and I was a wreck. K's advice looks sound... you can do this. xoxoxoxo

oh sweetie. sending you some love.
I wish I could do something.

I had a friend who lived in that building at Haight and Pierce that burned down around '94- one of her cats jumped from the 2nd or 3rd floor window (she managed to grab the other one). She kept calling the pound every day asking if a big orange tomcat had come in- for a couple days there was only a gray one. she went in to look anyway, and it was her cat! He was a totally different color from the fire.

I am crossing my fingers really hard.
