So this post is for you to check it out without the fussy plot points getting in the way ( Read more... )

Oh my god.

You've just compiled the most gorgeous images in the manga and I think I just died.

No shit. The art's ridiculously amazing. There were a lot of times while reading that I got so wrapped up in the plot and couldn't appreciate what I was looking at. So...I guess this makes up for it. :)

I think that was when he lost his memory and they were testing him; during the Yotsuba arc?

Yup - it's right after they released him from his self-imposed confinement (right before the handcuffs :P), and they figured that if Light really was Kira he would find some way to stop his father from "killing" him (but of course, the gun had no bullets.)

That must have taken a long time to post! I skipped over the last half cuz I'm not done reading Death Note yet.

Misa is sort of really attractive. Unfortunately, she ain't too smart.

It didn't take too long to post actually - the real time-killer was collecting the pictures, but I'd decided to look through all the RAW scans anyway, so... not too much extra effort. ;)

Oooo, you must finish! It can get a bit cumbersome at times, though. Still. You need to see the hotness that is Matt. (In all his 10-panel glory)

Misa is such a disappointment. *sighs* She's definitely got her attractive moments. At other times she's just funny-looking. Heh...

It's true, she could have been a much more interesting character. But I guess they needed to balance out the fact that pretty much everyone in this comic is a super-genius XD

I love the characters that only show up for a while with a major character. It's so amazing how fanfic authors such as yourself manage to expand so brilliantly on such little information. I'm obsessed with a pairing in which one of them is only there for ... 15 panels, maybe ... and then gets killed.

You've got a point there, actually. In that sense, Misa ought to be a breath of fresh air. ...only she's not.

I've always had a thing for minor characters too. *blushes* You flatter me. I'm lucky, though, because Matt already seems to be very much beloved by the fandom. :)

*sigh* I LOVE the color images. They are so gorgeous, and the manga itself is so rich with detail. Did Misa die? I hope she died...^_^

Aren't they? Guh.

Misa gets no on-screen time in the last few chapters, but in an interview the author claimed that Misa probably killed herself at the end. REJOICE!

Does she just leave or something? She was so fixated on "Kira" and I thought he was gonna kill her ;-; Too bad the suicide wasn't official.

You know what makes me sad? Correct me if I'm wrong because I DID stop reading it, but in the beginning there was that one girl who had information on Kira and Raito tricked her into giving him her name, and she wondered off to kill herself where no one would ever find her. I always thought she'd come back or something :( Like she knew more than she let on and just pretended to off herself. Even if she was only present in the story for a short while, she was really cool and I was disappointed she never came back.

Well, Misa hangs around right up until the very end. Then she's kidnapped by Near and not released until he leaves to face off with Raito (she isn't told where they're going). And since Raito dies in that face off...the manga's pretty much over, except for a little epilogue chapter (in which she doesn't appear and isn't mentioned).

Oh, you're talking about Naomi. I think the entire fandom mourns her disappearance. She was clearly very bright - caught on to things faster than her fiancee - former FBI agent, tracking Kira... She was just generally very very cool and had a lot of potential. And she never did come back. I think she was the only strong female character other than Wedy , who also got very little screentime before she was killed off. Then we're just stuck with Misa and Takada, who are both completely Kira's bitches. *sighs*

Have you read Death Note? I haven't really been in the fandom for a while, but it's worth checking out for the art alone. :)
