If these interlopers do not extend above deck seven, perhaps we will be able to push them slowly downwards. Barricades could be set up after we clear each deck.

Every effort needs a plan behind it. Charging in will be ineffective and costly.

We will need cooperation from both fighters and those who can work to barricade the entrances. Guards, perhaps, as well.

What skills have you? Are you a fighter?

You sound as though you're used to such things, Seem.

The Wasteland is unforgiving to all. Survival is the key, and to survive one must be able to plan. Never simply hope that fortune will be on your side.

That's very wise.

Wisdom is another useful tool for survival.

I've been working on the bunch on Deck -- oh great... More!

[An area of effect spell was casted, Sleepaga.]

Phew! ...Deck 12.

We should begin at deck eight, and slowly expand the safe area. Otherwise, we will be islands among carnage.

...Uh... I've been down here for a while now... The stairways or elevators may be packed with them...

[hmm.]

Perhaps guards posted on the stairways. The elevators can suffer; we can climb the stairs.

I'm waiting for some intel from the crew before I start planning anything. We'll be in an even worse position if we push and there's another source of hostiles besides the breach on 12.

Who is this? It sounds like there are quite a number of tacticians aboard. We have a blockade on deck 7, and I'd like to gather the warriors here. We have healers here, and we can follow as the fight continues.

If that's what the crew wants of us. But I just want to keep anyone from getting hurt.

Major Motoko Kusanagi. Who's this?

I'm entirely unconcerned with what the crew wants of us. They're borderline incompetent. As soon as I get certain assurances they'll be taking care of any incursions on the sealed decks, I'll start solidifying a strategy.

Kate ... uh ... Katherine Starlen. I ... I'm unfamiliar with battle, but I know how to motivate people. If ... If the crew aren't going to be of any help, then I'll follow your lead so we can get this taken care of.

[She couldn't imagine the crew being incompetent; it was their ship after all. But they had "kidnapped" her, and she hadn't heard from any of them at all yet, so for all she knew the Major was right.]
