As someone who has taught scientific/scholarly writing since 2002, including all the sermons about Give Credit Where Credit Is Due and Publishing Venue Is Author's Decision - So Talk To Your Co-Authors Early, I am glad that you spoke up and that others noticed. The reaction was huge and not always pretty, but the core of it was about integrity. That is great! I will be using this as a lecture example and/or as base for a class assignment, when it fits the context and time available.

I hope you seriously won't try to read everything that has been written - you deserve your sleep and life.

When you have a chance, please either list yourself or link to a list of all the advertisers who pulled out (if others than the bakery have pet charities, links to them would be very nice, too). I will be sending information about those businesses to my cousin and all my other MA friends.

A very bright future to you - use this visibility wisely. Keep doing what you love, stay true to yourself. It will get less crazy little by little.

Monica, don't think that as time goes by, people will forget all about this. Some people (like me) will always wonder what is going on in this saga. Please keep posting about it now and then as the weeks/months/years go by.
