Plea to friends with sewing machines

So, I've got a satin dress that I wanted to wear for a wedding the weekend after next (May 9th), but it's a couple of inches too long due to my being a short-arse who slouches. Is there anyone who could possibly bring up the hem on it for me within the week? I'd do it myself, but I'm spectacularly incompetant when it comes to sewing of any form.

I can give it a go, but I've not had much luck with hems in the past - If you can get hold of angyl he'd be your best bet that i know of :)

We have a sewing machine and I'd be fairly confident. Do you fancy coming over sometime over the weekend to get it done? I reckon it will probably take about an hour to do. If you don't have my number it's zero 790five, 005 one four six.
