My first attempt at Shin! I've always found the strong, silent types really hard to capture XD Anyway, you don't want to here me ramble so:
Disclaimer: If I could draw like this I wouldn't have failed art...
Sena flexed his hand, trying to coax his blood to start flowing around his swollen fingers again, but the thin plastic straps of his carrier bag were unrelenting. The running back sighed in defeat as he jogged forwards; he wasn’t that far away from home, just another corner...
Sena turned down another brightly-lit road and caught sight of a blue tracksuit standing in front of a drink’s dispenser.
A familiar blue tracksuit.
Sena froze.
A familiar blue tracksuit with its hood up, obscuring everything from view but a few dark tufts of hair.
“Uh Shin-san?” The linebacker’s finger was still pressed against the drinks machine and as Sena edged closer he could see the long crack it had made against the vividly coloured front, “ah…”
“I believe I have broken it.” Shin replied.
“Um, yeah…” Sena wondered why he was so surprised; to this day he couldn’t remember Shin ever being competent in handling technology. “Do- Do you need a drink?” as soon as he had asked the question Sena wanted to whack his head against the nearest concrete post. Of course he wanted a drink, why else would he be trying to use a drinks machine?
“Yes.”
“I-I have some water if you’d like some. I’ve got quite a lot really, I mean, I only need one bottle, you know, but it was half-price for a pack of four so it was only about twice the amount of just one so I thought, you know, I could keep some for practice on other days…” Sena’s ramble drifted off at the end as the boy caught Shin’s gaze.
“That would be acceptable, thank you.”
“Ah right,” Sena quickly wrestled a bottle from its packaging and held it out to the athlete. Shin took it exceedingly carefully and bowed politely.
“Thank you,” he repeated.
Sena laughed and scratched the back of his head, “don’t worry about it. I’ll see you err… around… or something…” Sena shook his head, trying in vain to shake off the red clinging to his cheeks.
“Yes.” Shin bowed again and took off running in the direction Sena had just come from. Sena watched him go with a sigh. Way to make himself look like a blithering idiot in front of his arch-rival. He didn’t even know why he’d been so nervous- its not like he’d been thinking how good Shin looked in blue the entire time or anything.
…
Okay, so maybe he had.
