Oh, I'm a simple travelling apothecary whose name isn't important. Most just call me the Doctor. [Okay so he's mildly stuck on that name.] Have you found a companion for your hunting... quest?
omg your drawing is adorable.manofgneeJune 17 2011, 02:41:08 UTC
I didn't know you LARPed, Neil! That's cool!
Though please clarify what exactly you mean by a 'dire wolf pup'. Because if you're thinking 'dog', I sort of have a lot of those, and while I love them all and they love me, I think they'd still prefer to have their own homes...
ahhhhh, thank you ='DillgrowoutofitJune 17 2011, 03:05:16 UTC
[Oh hey, someone who gets what he's doing. Cool!] Aye!
Sire wolves be dogs of a sort, yes. In ancient days they roamed the seven kingdoms far and wide, but they are ancient beasts, believed by some to be extinct... today they live only in the far reaches of the forests. They are the wolf's foregone cousins of old-- much larger, sharper of tooth, and narrower of snout.
I... I don't think that that is the kind of gift one gives for holidays? [smilegrimace!]
[Annie stares blankly as Neil bows, and then follows it with a small curtsey of her own. It is, perhaps, best to just play along rather than ask questions.]

A dire wolf, you say? Sounds like it might be dangerous. Interesting birthday tradition - whereabouts around here are you from, good sir?

I am Njål, son of Håvard, of Autumn's Rise! I shall meet the danger with the fortitude of my House. And yourself?
[...Of course he is making this all up. At least he is thorough, if slightly inclined to borrow from novels.]

My party is but two men at present, but we two shall stand bravely.
[ooc: feel free to threadjack Neil and Stephen getting mobbed by unicorns in the attempt. XD]

Oh, are you going on adventure? Is that why you're talking like that? I like it.
Can I come? I've only ever been on one adventure before, and since it was at home, I never got to finish it...

Indeed, adventure is at hand! I should be all the more blessed for your company, but I warn you that the going may be treacherous.
[ooc: Neil and Stephen are out in search of dire wolves, and are being ambushed by unicorns! Feel free to find them at any point.]

[She laughs. Oh yes!]
Don't worry, I have to learn how to deal with treacherous. Besides, I can help if you guys get hurt.
[After all, that's what her magic hair is supposed to be for: Helping people.]
[ooc: :D She's on her way!!]

[OoC: Oh my god, that's adorable and almost exactly the style of the comic.]

They are... the ancient ancestors of the wolves. They live deep in the forest.
[ooc: Eep, thank you! ='D Maybe I'll use drawings on here more often~]
