Supernatural Season 5 Finale... should have been penned by fanfic writers!

Had to go to my son's play tonight (which he was great in) so I couldn't watch the season finale of Supernatural live but I just finished watching it on the Tivo and all I can say is, "SPN writers, please retire and let fanfic writers have your jobs!!" Season four was so incredibly good and season 5 had all this potential and sadly, it got pissed

Agree with all you said. Crap, get some of the uber-talented people hanging around fandom like darkmagess, or aesc, or trinityofone together-- heck, get omphalos and wolfling both alone!-- we'd have a whole season, not just a season finale, to be proud of I think. There are DOZENS of fic writers out there who could've done a better job from where S4 left off, and HAVE done so with fics.

I'm skipping out on S6 myself, as I have no hope that things will improve on that front, and am planing on trying my hand at writing an alternate S5 my way. I mean-- canon's craped things up so nicely, I can't do much worse yeah? :/

I agree...with pretty much everything.
So much unused potential..and then they want to continue this. Meh.

As for Castiel. I did hope he would become an angel, but the way is was done PLUS the way he now acted. Heaven's bitch for sure!!!

I wasn't planning on watching season 6 anyway, but now I know I won't.
