I think you are missing an s after answer, but that's all.

The explanations of the mismatching and the sometimes-slightly-stupid are great. I like to think the best of Chase too, and he actually does think of a lot of stuff to save people in canon. People always overlook that. Woman in the Pilot episode, cadmium poisoning--those are off the top of my head.
