Mya, I was sewing all afternoon and my back hurts D:
Hok, background.
I'm into rpg boards and have participated in, modded and co-managed a few. This starts of with person I met through an irl friend over the internet. She started this rpg board, it trundled along for a year or so before I decided I'd join.
nekoangelhalo was already there I think she was already modding/admining and such, and I joined at pretty much the same time as
emitly. Already knowing the creator we were promoted to admin pretty quickly.
The creator of the board lost interest over time and membership dwindled. The board was pretty dead at this point. Wanting to still play my characters, I asked permission to clean up the board and get it running again, she said go for it, and that she'd pretty much lost interest in it. I did a massive overhaul, cleaned up all the old topics, wrote up some extra information etc. Some new members came, and it was running fairly steadily again. At this stage though, the creator took the reigns again, I didn't mind too much cause I'm a lazy bum and don't like sorting students. And she was awesome and luring large numbers.
Boards tend to cycle, she lost interest and the same happened again.
emitly and I ran the board, cleaning up spam attacks keeping, it generally tidy etc. with
nekoangelhalo. We put a lot of work into it. Eventually members dwindled again, and it got to the point where me being the greatest lazy ass around
emitly was doing most of the maintenance and keeping the n00bs in check(I think this happened both times?) and it just ended up being a big ugly thing that I/we didn't feel like booting into gear again. I'd had an old board which never got up off the ground, so we packed up the old board, took it offline(with permission still) and moved house.
The board being a considerably old one, and moderately popular racked up a nice amount of hits on the invision directory(top in it's category by a few thousand I think). With permission also, I had the offline board redirect to mine.
A week or so later, the offline board is renamed, overhauled and brought back online(still in it's same position in the invision directory). Most posts were archive, but many of the informational documents, some I had a hand in/or created myself and stuff em an lo did were scrapped(I was planning to use them on my own board, and spent a lot of time on some of them). Many of the members that joined in my time of co-management with
nekoangelhalo and
emitlyhave rejoined. ,
Not much ever shits me. But this. really. does. This is the third time and this time she's really pulled the rug out from under us.
Just Fuck.
I could affilitate, but I'm not sure I even want to do that. What a screw over
