Tips on healthy, cheapish vegetarian eating1. There are meat alternatives to virtually everything out there now, though they can be expensive (still less costly than the meat, though!). You can have almost any type of 'meat' for your sandwiches, from bologna to salami to turkey. You can have steak strips or chicken strips for your dinners. There's corn dogs and veggie burgers and even full meals. Thankfully, most grocery stores have a good selection of veggie meats in their health food sections now
