HSB memory

I trudged slowly, moving in time with the other 250 people in the long line which wrapped around the Arrow stage at HSB (Hardly Strictly Bluegrass). I was in this line for about 20 mins or so.I once had a feeling that perhaps I should feel panicky from all those people around me, a thought which I promptly laughed at, and then continued to groove off the vibe of many thousands of people having a great show. I started thinking longingly about smoking, and started surveying the crowd, trying to pick out my smoking spot. As I surveyed the crowd, my eyes met with a medium height, curly brown haired kid. He held his blonde girlfriend in one hand and a joint in the other. He grinned at me and passed me the J.
" Here ya go," he said companionably.
"Thank you so much!" I replied, taking k a long hit, grateful beyond words. As I passed it back, I asked, "How did you know?"
He laughed and responded, "I've seen that look before. Usually on my own face."

I love San Francisco.
