Oh GOD I did it! I watched The Road.
It´s 3am and I´m sniffly and utterly distroyed and I need to build a bunker in the garden.

Summary: All my fears laid bare on a plate in the grey dust and terrifying darkness of mankind ...and yet in the middle, protected; a grain of gold - because so beautiful, so fragile is the hope.

That's pretty much how i felt after seeing it. Now imagine if it had been filmed in your area, in places you know and recognize! When they were in that amusement park toward the end... for years my family used to go there in the summers. Creepy!

When i saw how much weight Viggo lost (and he's not a bulky guy to begin with!) it was startling. I still don't get how this film was up for nothing in the Oscar race.

I loved the book SO much and had no idea how the movie would turn out but it was amazingly done and Viggo and the boy that played his son were just beyond my expectations.

I definitely think I'll have to watch this. Anything with Viggo is stunning.
