One week

went up to north wales last week to stay with our friends at the bunkhouse.. the following are from some forest trails..

anglesey! it was sooo hot this day and we spent most of it driving around!

it was here i had that horrible sorbet solero.. ice creams with 0% fat are just silly!

this is my fave vista.. driving towards betws-y-coed. love that place!
whilst i was there i realised that the UK is actually not such a bad place to live.. when the weather is like it has been, it's perfect.. hot, but still really nice. one thought i had was that.. i wonder how i'd perceive the "sights" of england & wales, if i didn't live here. i think i view things differently (better?) if i've travelled a long way to see something.. i mean, the ones i took of the lakes and trees reminded me of laos and the ones i took on the island resemble the coastline of maine.. which i thought were all great.. i think i just overlook what we have here, y'know?
anyways!
yesterday & today i spent at silverstone for the british grand prix.. think i enjoyed it more than when i went in 2004, as there was huge tv screens which showed what was going on around the rest of the circuit.. whereas before, there was no way of knowing what had happened!

a lone ferrari

my dad and i.
"why didn't you tell me the right side of my face was burning?"
"...you didn't ask"
arghghhhhhhh, thanks alot!

this guy was such a big fan, he even bought ferrari shoes!
i don't support any team, btw.. my dads team is ferrari.. and i do have alot of respect for schumacher.. like most people it seemed, so i like to see him do well.. but i think my fave is still kimi, most of all.
i know i should maybe show some support for the british drivers, but i can't.. because i don't think they're that good and just don't really like them.. at one point, when button's engine blew up everyone was like "NOOOOOO" and me and dad were snickering.. hehe

ohhh yeah, whilst i was looking for the toilets, i stumbled across this pit lane area-thing where there was some meet and greet thing going on with some guy i didn't even recognise.. but being me, i got in line to get his autograph with everyone else and then took a picture to ask my dad who he was.. apparently it was the test driver for bmw. heh

my dad LOVES the red arrows.. he is all like "take some photos!!" quite cool, maybe. i thought about how much fuel they are burning when they do these displays.. well, same goes for racing cars, i guess.. i don't know what to make of it :\

the drivers paraded 'round in ancient rolls royces - 2 to each car. was cute, i guess.. we were allowed to run closer to get photos.
AND then the race started.....

...and there was an accident on the 1st lap! actually, i pretty much missed it because i was watching the oncoming traffic and it happened after the curve.. anyways, was a bit scary to see it, but both drivers just got out unharmed..

the safety car came out whilst the marshalls cleared all the debris from the track...

and then really not alot happened.. i will watch the highlights in a minute to see what i missed.
that is my monthly update :)
