Opera!
One of the attorneys had some sort of scheduling conflict and had to give up tickets to an opera this evening, and gave them to me! I couldn't find/contact anyone free/interested to take a ticket and go to a show with less than an hour's notice, but I went to the show anyway ( Read more... ) -

This last weekend, I made the final push in attempt #? in making candied chestnuts. I've been working on it half-assedly for years - those years that I remember to - ever since I read the Redwall books as a child. Best Western
I'm in Davis at the moment, staying at a Best Western after visiting the clan for Thanksgiving. All the traditions were observed, Scrabble, charades and an item from my grandmother's personal recipes.

I got the job I applied for! My hard work is paying off... with more hard work! Much to learn, much to consider.

Old habits
I listened to some old Japanese music I'd downloaded nearly 10 years ago. This time around, it was various music from the anime series Slayers!, usually featuring Megumi Hayashibara. I really oughtn't do this to myself; I've been singing it fairly steadily for a couple days now. -
