I've met a new advisary in my life and that advisary's name is credit. The issue is, should you help a person with bad credit get an apartment with your own credit?. First thing I asked myself, is the worth of this person worth my own credit? Whether you know or not when you mess your credit up it take seven years for those marks to disappear. ( Read more... )

Use your credit to help a person with bad credit?! Fuck that!! I'm sorry, that's just dancing with the devil right there. That's 7 years of hard time if they screw up, and screwing up is what got them into this mess in the first place. That's just my general rule of thumb, if you were going to make an exception to the rule just for them, you'd have to judge their character carefully and prepare some contingencies in case things began looking like they were going downhill.
