Critical Laptop upgrade

Here's the situation, I upgraded my laptop to Window XP some time ago with the mistake of have only 128MB of RAM. First of all from what Juan told me you need at least 256MB of RAM to run Windows XP efficiently, which I found to be true since the memory it's constantly using is 315MB. Old ram in general will make you pay out the nose. Before you upgrade to the new ram, it might be nice to time how long your battery lasts now, and then see how long it lasts once you upgrade, just to see if there's a dramatic difference; I'm kinda curious. ^^
