I'm absolutely horribly at getting stuff started, haha. My motivation is usually zilch until I get a first sentence I like under my belt and the words start flowing. But I swear I wouldn't have gotten to 3k if it wasn't for a friend cheering me on.

That's quite the compliment! Man, do I adore Paolini's style. I loved Eragon and Eldest to pieces. I haven't finished Brisinger, though. :(

It's original, but it does contain elements of Arthurian Legend and other myths - does that count? It's a reincarnation story, something I've wanted to write for a while. It was either that or something futuristic and sappy, but my medieval and darker side won out.
