Here is the original version of one of my Fushigi Yuugi fanfictions. I'm revising it, so I'm posting the older version here as I post the newer version on FF.net, which is where I post most of my anime related fiction.
This chapter was originally written some time in June 2004. So it's old and dear to my heart, but damn if it doesn't need work.

Disclaimer- I really doubt that if I owned FY that I'd be spending my time writing fanfics about it.

Chapter One-Another Day, Another Dollar______________________________________
So, now that four of the star points have been cleared, only twelve are left.
Ebony hair swished as Ryo Chuin, a.k.a. Tomo, practiced a series of dance steps. He bit his lip as he jumped from one form to another. Finally, he closed his amber eyes and relaxed. This whole thing was taking a toll upon him. He was playing the leading male role in the legendary Igatsuri Sateshi's newest play, Love and Honor. Yea, one might think that it was just another play, but Tomo knew otherwise. The playwright had taken a two-year break, so his comeback was eagerly anticipated. And that just made it worse for him. He sighed and turned his head, catching view of the lead female role. She was stretching, or at least that's what it looked like. She was a like a cat, graceful and sleek. She had long ebony hair like his own, and eyes of silver.
"Alright people! Let's do the first dance between the two." A sandy-brown haired teen gave him a pitying look as he walked over to the center stage. He glared at the boy for a second, before facing the choreographer and things. He would get the boy later. "Okay. This is a very intimate dance. You guys need to be very close, and very fluid with your movements." Tomo nodded before facing the girl. She had changed from a flesh-shaded leotard to a very provocative dress. He felt a bit out of place in his plain black slacks and shirt but then again, this was just a rehearsal. He had read the play. So he knew that she had to wear a red dress. He then noticed the huge heels that she was wearing.
"They only hurt if you land wrong." He looked up to see her smiling slightly. His lips curved up in answer as he took her hands and allowed himself to fall into the starting pose. The music finally started as both took off. The tune was sort of a mix between a salsa and a tango, but one thing was for sure. It was very fast. Tomo began concentrating on the steps, and losing all other senses except for the feel of her hands in his. The cast and crew watched in amazement as the two skated across the stage. Then the tune slightly changed as well as the dancing style. Tomo hadn't danced this part out yet so he was feeling quite challenged as the spins and turns became more complicated. He then noticed how much contact was between their bodies. He was very aware of her body, as he felt her leg wrap around his own, or her shoulder touch his. The contact only became more intense as the song went on. The next step was a fun one as he placed her leg on his shoulder, causing then to bend their knees, and her to tilt towards him. He then quickly switched their positions. He smiled as she easily kept up with him. She was the best dance partner he had ever danced with. Her movements weren't jerky, nor was she struggling to keep up with him. Finally the music began to fade as they went through the last few steps. They then broke apart, and caught their breaths. That had been harsh.
"Wonderful!" The head choreographer clapped. She was a very scornful woman according to Tomo. He could see her jealousy when the actors danced, and he could also see her desire for him.
"Okay. That's enough for today people. Now get out of here." Tomo stared at the old drama director. The man's sense of humor was never lost on his coworkers. Tomo sighed, and went back to his dressing room. Turning the shower on, he jumped in and took a fast shower in the freezing cold water. Shutting it off, he stepped out, and grabbed the towel drying himself. He was so glad that the dressing rooms had showers. He glanced at the time, and immediately quickened his pace. Throwing on a pair of white cargos and a beige, skin-clinging turtleneck, he quickly did his hair and slipped into a pair of black dress shoes. He then grabbed his bag, and ran out of the room.
"Koutoku!" The sandy-haired teen turned around hearing his name. Tomo slowed down next to him and caught his breath. The boy waited patiently for the man to recover his airflow.
"Yes, Ryo-san?" That earned him a smack upside his head. He opened his eyes warily to find that Tomo was glaring at him as he rubbed his skull.
"Why the hell do you say things like that when you know they anger me?"
"Umm.... opps." Tomo rolled his eyes before insulting the boy in Chinese.
"Ami, you're a freaking idiot. You know that?" Amiboshi laughed.
"Hai, hai." The two began walking towards Tomo's silver convertible. Throwing their stuff into the back, both hopped in as Tomo started the engine, and Amiboshi instantly began flipping through radio stations.
"Can't you ever just stay at one radio station?" Tomo glared at the boy next to him. Even though he looked like a teenager, he was actually 20 years old.
"I try to but you know that I can't, Tomo-san." Tomo shook his head as they sped out of the parking lot.
"Tomo-san, where are we going?" Tomo took another left in the opposite direction of their shared apartment.
"To lunch. I don't know if you're hungry, but I am. And plus, I called 'The Statue' himself to join us." Amiboshi groaned.
"Umm... Tomo-san, are you out oF YOUR FREAKING MIND?" Tomo couldn't help but laugh. No matter what, Amiboshi somehow also seemed to sound respectful. He smirked as the boy sitting next to him shot daggers at him. The car then suddenly came to a stop at an outdoor cafe. Tomo shut off the engine, and got out of the car, waiting for Amiboshi. Sighing, the boy also got out of the car. Hitting the lock button, Tomo strode over to the entrance of the cafe, and smirked as he saw a certain blonde sitting at a table. He casually strode over and plopped down in front of the man.
"Well, glad to see you accepted the invitation."
"I didn't. He did." Nakago motioned to the silvery-black that was getting scratched by Amiboshi at the moment. Tomo raised an eyebrow at he turned back to face the blonde, and Amiboshi also sat down.
"Ohayo Nakago-san." Amiboshi greeted the blonde a huge smile. Nakago stared at the boy for a second and then turned to Tomo.
"What do you feed this kid?"
"He feeds himself, so I really don't know." Amiboshi laughed at the two older men, causing both of them to give him a stare. A waitress then walked up to their table.
"Ohayo minna-san. I'm Kanami and I will be serving you today." She placed menus in front of the three with a smile plastered to her face. Her smile didn't look too fake, but it did look a little strange.
"Umm, excuse me miss, but is something bothering you?" The girl looked shocked at Amiboshi's question.
"Umm.... actually, it's.."
"If the presence of the dog is bothering you, ignore him. This is an outdoor cafe, so it shouldn't be a problem."
"Umm.... actually, oh! This is really embarrassing, but I'm allergic to dogs, soyouknowwhatillgetyougentlemanantoherwaiter!!" She ran off then. Tomo stared at Nakago.
"Now that was kind harsh. Couldn't you have just listen to her before going off like a bomb?"
"No." Tomo growled. He grabbed a napkin, scrunched it up, and whipped it at the blonde. Nakago caught it only to be hit by another. Amiboshi grinned at Tomo who starting laughing. Nakago's eyes narrowed as the two laughed and hi-fived. "Do you two enjoy pissing me off?"
"Well, of course Nakago-san." Amiboshi gave him another cheeky grin.
"I mean, come on. We're gonna take every chance we get now since you can't ki-blast to the next century anymore." Nakago groaned inwardly as the two burst out laughing again.

While the three former Seiryuu seishi enjoyed their lunch, an orange haired man slammed door to his office.
"Dammit." The man cursed as he dropped into his brown leather chair, and placed his face into his hands, propping his elbows on the table. His boss, Li Rimoudo had just told him that if he didn't get an act to manage in two weeks, he'd fired. "Dammit. Dammit. Dammit." He then looked up at a picture frame that sat on his table. In it was a picture of him, and a young woman with brown hair, and silver eyes, his childhood best friend and number one client. But, at the moment, he didn't even know where she was. "DAMMIT AI!!! WHEN THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO COME BACK!!!?????" The whole office shook as the man dropped back down. "Man, I really need something vanilla. I haven't had any vanilla in three hours." Sighing, he began sifting through the stack of papers that sat on his desk. It was a file on a new Chinese singer that was starting to make it big. He wanted to come to Japan, but he needed an agent.
"Let's see. Name: Andy Wong. Hmm.... not exactly attractive, but we'll deal with it. Age: 24. 23 or 22 will sounds better to the masses. Nationality: Chinese. Hong Kong born is a little more interesting." A knock on the door broke the reverie that had been consuming the man. "Come in." The door opened, revealing a young man with brown silvery hair that fell over his shoulders and deep brown eyes. He was wearing a light brown tee shirt that was tucked into a pair of darker brown pants. He then had a long sleeved tan dress shirt, which was open with the sleeves rolled up, and of course, untucked.
"Are you Kou Genrou?" Genrou, or Tasuki as a select few know him, stared at the man standing in front of him in shock.
"Heika-sama?" The young man looked surprised as Tasuki stood up.
"Wha... Tasuki?" The said seishi grinned.
"Well, long time no see Hotohori. Or should I say Andy Wong?" The former bandit gave the former emperor a fanged grin.
"I see you still have those fangs."
"Yeah. Could never get rid of them." Hotohori laughed at his friend.
"How about we go for some lunch?"
"Sounds good to me." Hotohori waited as Tasuki grabbed his jacket so they could leave. Hotohori studied his friend over. He was wearing a dark red, loose fitting yet skin clinging, boat neck, long-sleeved shirt with a pair of black jeans that could easily pass as dress pants. He also had on a very familiar necklace.
"Holy crap Tasuki. Your necklace." Tasuki looked down at the beads.
"Oh yeah. A friend got it for me." Hotohori blinked.
"A friend? They know?" Tasuki grinned.
"Don't worry. I'll introduce you guys sometime." Tasuki kept walking without noticing the look on the other seishi's face.
Well, it seems that the most rash seishi of each god have appeared. And it also seems that two very patient seishi have appeared along side them. Though that is debatable in the case of Amiboshi. Now only two Seiryuu seishi remain hidden. However, only three the Suzaku have lit in the sky. The creator, Taiitsukun has begun watching the heavens and the hells. But she will have to wait. One cannot go after the king of chess at once.
