V-Day

Feb 14, 2005 10:09

I normally do not acknowledge what I call this Hallmark Holiday. However, this year I have decided to mark it by initiating a "cleansing period" for my body. I ended up going clubbing with Arlene Friday night and to meet up with Ha for a drink...what I didn't bargain for was the fact that someone stole my phone from the club! I sobered up really ( Read more... )

I can't argue with the whole cleansing thing. But don't negate all the fun. Cutting down on the drinking is probably a good idea, but having fun with friends can be priceless sometimes. I know what it is like being a home body, and yeah its comforting, but its also lonely. I guess as soon as you find the right balance, everything will sort itself out.

I'm sorry to hear about your phone. That kind of sucks. Thats a good idea to keep a backup of all your numbers. I haven't thought about doing that for a while. I should probably make one myself.

You take care,

Sam

I don't intend to negate spending time with friends, just the alcohol. =) I'm not worry about being a homebody...I have other things to occupy my time. I'm also trying to get a new painting completed for my room.

...I'm not worry about being homebody too... :P

I really do believe alcohol as a very overrated substance. People rely on too much in order to lose their inhibitins and have fun... I say funk that! Have fun without it! Get that natural endorphione rush *wink...

New painting?? Ooohhhh.... same here, I'm almost done with the sketch... After my small vacation, I think I'll buckle down and finish the said painting...

Nat-tur-ral eh...haha ;)

The new painting is going to be the driving force behind how I decorate it. Right now the walls are bare and there really isn't a color scheme. Once I have the basic parts of the painting determined I'll be able to start 'accenting' the room. I'm thinking light pinks and light/dark peaches.

i don't celebrate these hallmark/made up holidays due to the fact that it should not be just refined to ONE day.

it reminds people i think but I rather try harder NOT to make it only once a year to show my true emotion to those i love

i'm stuck with work and school today... no time for this stuff

Actually Valentine's Day was an actual holiday and NOT made up by Hallmark from hundreds of years ago. I knew this in the back of my mind but someone reminded me yesterday. Still...even if it was a holiday before, Hallmark has definitely capitalized on the extra business.

What's even more frustrating about it is that I have NEVER lost my phone before. O well...I had a good run. I went through 3 phones before losing one. An LG and two Samsungs.

Moshi pillows rock!

Yes of course...I got the replacement the next morning! There is no way I could survive without a phone. Luckily I have almost all my contacts back in the new phone. It's a Samsung E715. The camera on it is pretty decent actually...I was such a skeptic when it came to camera phones. *sigh* I have been converted! haha
