Timeline-wise, what year do you think the alien invasion at Herrington High took place? If, hypothetically, Casey and Zeke started, um, dating after they both graduate a year later, then in 2011, how long would they have been together?

I go off the film release date so if it was released at Christmas 1999, then the invasion happened August 99. So they'd graduate May 2000. Now they'd have been together 11 years. Again, just my take.

August '99 might be too early--US schools usually start in September, sometimes at the very end of August. Plus, it's football season, which runs from about the start of school to November (out here in Mass., the big, final high school football game is on Thanksgiving).

Well, the way *I* work it is in going by the group that formed to sing Floyd's song as the soundtrack's big hit: 'Class of '99'. So the way I see it, Zeke didn't graduate with the class of '98, and Casey's year was '99, thus they graduated together. I see Casey as a younger senior, so about 17 when he graduated, Zeke at 19. I don't use that every time I write them, but--yea. When it comes to Marybeth, I place the event close to the start of the school year, so the start of '98. Football season starts at the start of the year, ending around Thanksgiving--at least around here in the East, though the Midwest might follow different rules. So if they graduate in '99, it'd be Sept.-Nov. '98.

So given all of that, I'd say in 2011, Casey's 29/30, Zeke's 31/32.

On the copy of The Hornet school magazine shown at the end, it says October 1998. So they would graduate in 99. Honey wins the cigar.

I miss all my LJ friends too, but I've been away so long I feel timid coming back. I've been on the ice a lot. That is to say, I've been drunk with love for Johnny Weir and let everything lie by the wayside, lol. But something came up lately that sparks the C/Z love anew. I love falling in love all over again!
