Well, if a trusted friend is telling you not to go for it, it possiably means that the girl is a huge slut, or possiably he is indeed going after her himself. However, I'm willing to bet she might just be a girl you don't want to go after, because she may just hurt you. It's a judgement call, but keep all that in mind when you decide what you want to do.

I really don't have to worry about that friend going after her because he has been with his girl friend for 5 years and I know he is( or atleast I am pretty sure) very happy with her.

If you already know the answer to which you seek, then you wouldn't be askin Rich ... but you don't know the answer, so you ask your friends and its not what you want to hear. I don't know who it is but you should already have good enough judgement to make the call for yourself. If Rich knows this girl enough to say 'don't go there' then remember his advice. Oh master wizard, if only you know. I always try to get acceptance with my friends with girls I try for, for the fact that they will be hanging out with them. I guess it all comes down to what you and her both want to have come out of this. If it's only going to go as far as a steady hookup, go for it. What would you have to lose?

If it's relationship we're talking about here, my best advice would be to make sure that this would be what you both really want and that you're both compatible like that.

I don't know what she's like all that well, but from what I've seen she seems alright. That's a judgement call you're going to have to make though.
