I like your layout! seems like a theatre :) How did you do that withouth a pro account? I've tried customizing mine but couldn't go much far than changing colours and adding a background...

Yep, that's about all you can do with a free account. But I created this layout when I had a paid account, and Livejournal lets you keep paid account-layouts when you go back to a free account.
So if you would like a fancy layout, just buy a one month paid account, it's only a few dollars.
