I broke our blender yesterday trying to make hummus. I actually don't even understand how it happened cause it was all really soft stuff (chic peas and natural peanut butter???), but now I feel horrible cause Andy uses it to make smoothies for breakfast all the time. Seriously I would've turned the thing off if it had made an odd sound or something

Sounds like the life on it died from all the use. The motor burned out. It wasn't really your fault. The only thing you could have done differently was clean it out. It was used daily, just taking it apart every month or so and cleaning it would have extended the life.

I think we only used it a total of 20 times? Andy took it apart and cleaned it every time though.
