That sounds like a good film. After a year of studying French, my teacher told me to give up, couldn't argue with that! Good for you doing four years!

It is a good film :D a littl umm.. bizarre, but original nonetheless. Aw, what happened? I know French can be really frustrating at first (or learning any language for that matter) but it gets easier (a little) as time goes by.. though one thing's sure, you never ever stop learning new stuff :)

I've also been meaning to watch another french film that a friend of mine told me about: "Les Chansons d'amour". Maybe tomorrow I'll see what it's about :D

*ignores this entry is a month old*
I think I felt as conflicted about this movie as you. It's a nice story, the whole coming back to each other after years was really romantic, but considering how many people they hurt along the way it's hard to connect to and feel for them. Though that's probably a good thing about it. It asks questions.
And btw, I love cats, too. ;)

lol and the end is pretty crazy too, but yeah it's like you're not sure if they love each other more than they love the game itself sometimes.

I saw another french film recently "Les Chansons d'Amour", I didn't like it as much, but the songs are nice. That one is also about a different kind of "being in love".

And yay! fellow cat lover! :D I love your journal's header!

I haven't seen that one yet. Though I'm not sure I will considering it's a musical. Am a little allergic to those. ;) Is there a lot of singing and dancing in it? Or is it like 8 femmes (which was tolerable imo)?

lol, and I'm anything but. I love musicals :D And no, there's no dancing. Actually, for a musical, I didn't feel like it was too much singing, they really chose special moments to put the songs, and I liked some of them: "Les Yeux au Ciel" and "Je N'Aime que Toi" are really nice.

I hadn't heard about that film, 8 femmes, so I can't compare :\
