I think my father hates me. He won't pay for my school even though he could afford it and not even miss the money, but I can't get federal aid because he makes too much money. If you pay for housing at least than you should and need to claim yourself as an independent, and you'll get a lot more money for financial aid.

I am an independent in terms of taxes but because I am under 24, his income still affects my scholarships.
