I'm so glad that Blaine is starting to find the strength to stand up for himself, in all kinds of situations. Actually, the last scene made me really happy, because you nailed how the ND lack any sense of personal boundaries - and then Blaine managed to ask them to back off. It was great!

I was hoping you'd update this weekend! :D

I liked that the scene with the bullies didn't turn into a unilateral triumph with, like, swelling orchestral music and Blaine obliterating them all with his fearsome boxing skills. I wanted JT to go down hard, but honestly this felt more relatable. Baby steps: he spoke. He pushed back. I'm proud of him.

But oh my god, all these scenes with people handling his packer -- please tell me that was the last! They're particularly hard to read. Except for Kurt; I'm hoping there's room in the last couple chapters for one last round of quiet intimacy and good touching to wash away the imprint of all those unwelcome hands.

Wonderful writing, as always.

I'm glad that came across well. It was tempting in the planning stages to make it a big "fix all" moment (or "swelling orchestral music and Blaine obliterating them all with his fearsome boxing skills" as you said, lol xD), but of course that's rarely how life works.

We are definitely past the worst moment, yeah. :) As for Kurt: I have some notes on that, but we'll see how it works out in the actual writing.

Thank you, and thanks for commenting! :)

'And the amazing thing is,' she said, a familiar smirk on her face as she looked up at JT, and Blaine's brain jammed, trying to catch up with the situation, and oh. 'This guy still has more balls than you could ever dream of.'
I'm not sure if I should cheer for Santana, or tear up, or cringe or laugh - I'm doing a little bit of all four.

I think it was pretty much a mix of those four things I was going for with that line. :p
