I really love this story! I've been thinking about it a lot since I read the first parts - it's such an interesting idea. My headcanon, for whatever reason, was that Blaine's birthname was Clarissa -- literally no reason, it just popped into my head -- but Amber is much better. I like that you had Blaine choose "Blaine" because it kept some of Amber around.

I've always loved that "Blaine" means yellow (because it's my favorite color and I'm a Hufflepuff), so I wanted work that in somehow, and then "Amber" occurred to me and it was perfect. :)

Really love this story! I'm kind of in the fence with Blaine's parents cause on one hand they've been supportive but now they're not. So I'm hoping soon it'll be clear whether I like them or not. Lol. And I loved the meaning behind the names as well!
Excited for more!

Blaine's parents are a grey area because they're not unsupportive exactly, but they definitely each have some kinks to work out in their relationship to Blaine. It's been mostly Mom so far, but more in Dad in the next chapter. :) (And Cooper - gotta have some Cooper)

I was so excited when "Amber" occurred to me, because I really wanted to use that "Blaine" means "yellow" somehow, and it was perfect. :)

Great chapter! I'm so glad they're ok after the blow up from the previous chapter. I completely sympathize with Blaine needing to tell Kurt but putting it off and putting it off... Also "Is it like... happy?" Aaugh, right in the feels. LOL. Excellent work. :)

Not gonna lie, I've teared up a few times writing this thing. Especially at two particular points in the next chapter... I can't even. That was hard. It's a good thing I enjoy angst as much as I do. :p

This is heartbreakingly good. It's amazing how even before Blaine's transition, I still only saw him as BLAINE. The way you're handling the flashbacks is incredible. <3

I'm sure Blaine would appreciate that! :) I half wish I could draw though so I'd be able to illustrate that part of his journey, but I'll just have to leave it up to people's imaginations.

I'm glad the flashbacks are working! There's a few more coming up later on. :)
