this story is heartbreakingly gorgeous. i love that you spent 3 chapters building blaine up as a transgendered individual. it really set up a firm basis for his life that made this reveal at the end of chapter 3 really hit you where it hurts.

you can't help but feel for blaine at the end of this. i thought i would hate kurt a lot more for his reaction in this but you really can't blame him. especially having found out the way he did.

absolutely heartbreaking. i await the next update obsessively.

Thank you! Building Blaine up as a transgendered individual, as you say, is a big reason that this story has grown so much. Having just finished a 43.000 word fic, I started out wanting to just write something quick and easy on the topic, but it quickly became obvious that what I really wanted to do required something more. I spent about two months just developing the story and after chapter 4 I'm nearly at 40.000 words. What have I gotten myself into? :o lol

Anyway, that's my longwinded way of saying thank you, I'm glad that worked for you.

And no, I absolutely don't blame Kurt for his reaction either. It sucks, because Blaine is devastated, but that was a huge shock to Kurt, and to find out like that was SO not ideal. Kurt POV next chapter. :)

I know from, like, a dramatic narrative POV, ending the chapter on that note makes sense. But as a reader, it made me go all *kickyfeet*. So yeah, good choice but frustrating.

And I really like this version of Cooper you're writing, btw.

Haha, sorry 'bout that! I can't promise that there won't be other *kickyfeet*-inducing endings in the future, but at least it shouldn't be too long now before I can post a follow-up to this one. :)

I'm glad you like Cooper! I really loved writing him and figuring out how he fit in to everything.

wow. fuck.

so... i cried for blaine over thanksgiving... it just broke my heart so much.. so much... i love love love thanksgiving, too. I love being with my family cuz I am most comfortable when surrounded with a twenty million members of my huge family. I just can't even imagine how heart shattering it would be to live through that kind of thanksgiving. Just thinking about it, again, is making me choke and tear up again.

Oh KURT... but I really can't blame him. It would be such a shock and FUCK, BLAINE, seriously.. that is such a freaking long time to date someone with such a huge secret.. I just.. no... poor Kurt.. AND POOR BLAINE. My sweet Blaine. UGH.
