Looks like I'm moving again

Apparently the people who own the apartment I am renting want to move in to it. At the beginning of August. And apparently they consider it acceptable to kick me out of my home with less than a month warning. This they decide after I've had multiple discussions with the property manager regarding a new lease (my current lease is through end of July ( Read more... )

unfortunately, in WA its only 20 days. The only bigger chunk of notification is 60 days and that is only if your rent increase is going to be more than 20%

Well, that's just sucky suck suck.

In case you haven't seen it, here is a site that links Craigslist entries to Google Maps and allows you to narrow by a couple of parameters. It's pretty nifty.

Bummer! Asked to leave is one thing...one month's notice and you're settled in already is another thing entirely.

Take your sweet time finding a condo, and in the meantime do that rental/storage thing. Go surf on couches or get fancy hotel rooms (preferrable in Vegas). Good luck in your search, and you know you've got people that will help you move (I would if I were up in that area.)

you could surf our couch anytime. you'd only have a 180 mile commute too!
