Title: Prompt 001: Freefall (my title: rock bottom)
Genre:  Angst
Characters: Leeteuk/Kangin
Summary: Leeteuk catches Kangin doing something unforgivable. Will their relationship survive, or will they end up hitting rock bottom.

"Kangin, i just dont understand." Leeteuk said quietly. Their room was dimly lit, it being nighttime. Kangin was standing by the door, where just minutes ago, he had walked in with Hongki. It would have been perfectly fine, except for the fact that when Leeteuk greeted him, he couldn't answer because his tongue was shoved down Hongki's throat.

Hongki was standing on the other side of the room, away from Kangin and out of Leeteuk's reach. He was embarrassed and nervous. He knew Leeteuk wouldn't forgive him for this, afterall, they'd been friends. It's not entirely his fault though, he was drunk. He wasn't thinking straight. He couldn't meet Leeteuk's eyes and wouldn't even look in Kangin's direction.

"Teukie, let me explain." Kangin started, stepping towards Leeteuk. Leeteuk politely stepped back a step, keeping the distance between them. Hongki could tell from the atmosphere that this was it. This was the last chance for Kangin and he had helped mess that up. There probably wouldn't be a Kangteuk when the sun rose up in the morning.

"Kangin, I've seen it with my own eyes. You've never kissed me like that, and we've been together for almost 4 years. I asked you to quit drinking, begged you even. I didn't want another incident like that bar fight happening, but I guess that was too much to ask wasn't it?" Leeteuk said calmly, tears welling up in his eyes. Kangin couldn't stand see Leeteuk in pain, couldn't stand to see him cry. He didn't know how much pain he was putting Leeteuk through until he saw the tears rolling down the sweet angel's face.

"I'm sorry, Jungsu. I really am." Kangin spoke, picking his words carefully. "I'm sorry I didn't stop drinking, and that this happened. If you want me to, I'll go to AA, I'll get help. I just don't want to lose you." He took another step forward. They had forgotten all about Hongki, standing in the corner of the room, witnessing the mess that he had helped make. He wasn't sure whether he should try to leave, or wait until they were finished.

"Kangin, we dont always get what we want." Leeteuk whispered. Kangin realized what Leeteuk had said and let out a whimper, holding back his tears.  Hongki didn't want to be here when it happened, he just wasn't sure when would be the appropriate time to leave. They were in what seemed like a freefall, with no parachute to catch them when they hit rock bottom. There would be no warning when they hit, but they would know, and it would be painful for not only them, but anyone who was watching.

"Leeteuk, please don't do this." Kangin pleaded. He was on the verge of just falling to the ground in a ball and crying. He couldn't lose his angel. The angel that has never hurt him a day in his life. Yet, he, the raccoon, was constantly getting into trouble and messing up. "I love you." he spoke the words truthfully, with all his heart, hoping that this would be the turning point. That these three words would be the parachute.

Hongki sensed what Leeteuk would say next before the angel even knew himself. As Leeteuk opened his mouth, Kangin knew what words he would hear. Hongki watched as he fell to his knees, heartbroken.

"Kangin, I've given you enough chances. I've asked you multiple times to stop drinking. I put this off as long as I could, because I love you, but I guess even that isn't enough now." Leeteuk started, tripping over his words. Hongki could tell he was forcing them out, through sobs and tight lips.

"Why!? Why can't it be enough?!" Kangin asked, his voice suddenly very loud. "Why can't you just accept that I messed up and forgive me. If you love me, you would forgive me!" His yells woke up the other members and they started to sleepily stumble out of their rooms to see what was happening. When they saw their hyung's tears streaked faces, they immediately woke up,

"Kangin, if you loved me, you wouldn't have played tonsil hockey with Hongki." Leeteuk said quietly. "I'm packing a small bag of stuff and then i'm going to stay in the other apartment until we can sort something out." Kangin and the other members watched in sorrow as Leeteuk packed some clothes in a bag.

As all this happened, Hongki silently and unnoticed slipped out of the room. He stopped in the doorway to the apartment, looking back at the members who were still staring at the scene between Leeteuk and Kangin and could only think one thing. Rockbottom.

He quickly wiped away the tears that started to fall and then slipped out into the night.
