Wow, I had such a fun weekend! I watched "The Best Years of Our Lives." It was really long, but really good. I was thinking about my grandma while I was watching it, because that whole situation was applicable to her. She remembers hearing on the radio about Pearl Harbor, and her fiancee (my grandpa) had to go off to fight in the war. So scary

They're making a new Nancy Drew movie!?!?!?! Grrrrrr! Nancy would never try to fit in the "popular girls" because she was one LOL. And she never worried about fitting in. She's not in high school (a lot of girls didn't go to college then, though I sort of thought she might have with her father being a lawyer, but it's not odd that she didn't). Ned is always described as being so handsome and tall and dark and great, and I haven't seen anyone like that, so I can tell you they couldn't cast him in a movie nowadays LOL. I know they're trying to refresh a story That's where they mess up. It's like re-doing Ocean's 11 (to a degree). Refreshing it is making it modern, and making it modern is ruining it LOL. If they wanted to make a Nancy Drew movie, they should stick to the books and the time they were written in. I've watched the old Nancy Drew movies, and they're train wrecks--because they're nothing like the books. LOL I just had a thought--I wonder what modern Hollywood will do with the George character out in LA XD

Maybe I'll curl up with "Too Darn Hot." I'm starting to love that series. . .I wish I were living in NYC in the forties. . .what a great time to be alive.
