i'm about to turn 18. thats intense.
this weekend me and a bunch of kids are going up to northern Uganda to the district of Lira. to paint a memorial with the ex-child soldiers who were affected by the Lord Resistance Army. Many of the child soldiers are missing ears, lips, fingers all from the LRA rebels.

I've been lead here via your myspace bulletin. That's awesome what you're about to do this weekend. You know I'm all for documentation so if you can get a journalist, a photographer, videographer - go for it. Or just bring your camera. But more importantly, get that hook-up with your Dad's work. I mean it sounds like a pretty safe trip, but we all know this world is crazy, especially northern Uganda. And last but not least, and I'm sure you already will, share love with the kids.
And spreading veganism to the youth...so touching :)
And writing for that zine --- caliente! Will you be the food critic? In two years, you'll be the vegan rachel ray.
And school...grin and bear that shit. It's almost over, love. Sprint. I know it's draining and can seem irrelevant, but you have a long and lovely life ahead of you on earth in the 21st century. It's sort of the hand you've been dealt. I'm sure some of the information is somewhat interesting...
