[When the video switches on, it doesn't appear to have been done so on purpose. The view is of one of Promenade's busier streets, and the feed swings wildly for a moment; by the looks of it, the PORTAL's owner, Jack, has just been shoved aside by one of the native citizenry.]
Watch it-
No, you watch it. [The same native turns and advances on him.] You outsiders shouldn't even deserve to be here.
What? Hey, I never asked to-
To what? [The native shoves Jack again, and the camera swings accordingly; by now, a small crowd is gathering around them and shouting in agreement.] To wake up in paradise? So just because you don't like it here, you people have to make everyone else suffer for it?
Stop it- [Jack backs away, trying to keep a distance between himself and the natives, but they just keep advancing.] What are you talking about? I haven't done anything-
It's your fault all of this happened! [The rest of the crowd is chiming in now, all with similar sentiments.] It's outsiders like you that are making Promenade suffer!
Stop- [Jack finally shoves back, to which the first native responds by throwing a punch. The crowd of masked citizens jeers and shouts and eggs him on-
It happens before Jack can even think to stop himself: he staggers back to dodge the punch, lashes out a newly-charred arm, and the attacking native is instantly set ablaze.
The crowd stands in stunned silence for a moment as the man screams and tries to put himself out. Jack does the same, but only for the briefest of moments before he turns and runs like hell.]
(OOC: Jack will definitely be caught by guards and taken to the Unnatural at some point, but I am perfectly willing to time paradox any conversations in between!)
