[ This isn't what Zachary planned on when he put the PORTAL on as background 'noise' while he tests out the violin he dreamed up. He unintentionally plays a scare chord in reaction to her telepathic broadcast them holds inextricably still.
He doesn't know who she is, but that fear is unmistakable, that desperation, almost feels like it's threatening to overwhelm if it weren't for the strange, solid presence at his core threatening to take over from within. ]

[ Ariadne can't turn off the video feed, not from where she sits, crouched on her chair. The telepathy doesn't help, making reality and illusion mesh, but Zachary can't see the reality (not that she knows that) and so perhaps he just sees the illusion, serpent-cords and insects trying to crawl to her. ]

[ Poor Zachary really doesn't have a clue what's going on. His own adrenaline is spiked in reaction because what the hell is that? although he does keep the benefit of distance. ]
Can you-make a suit or something? Keep them from getting in?
She actually drops the cans of pesticides in her hurry to dream, to create, and to protect herself. It's hard to get the suit on while crouched on a chair, but she manages. ]
[ Small flush of relief, meanwhile something churns underneath, wonder and fright that he's somehow seeing flashes of something, what Ariadne sees. It's just freaky. ]
[ She looks at the door, then, and through the TENEKA comes the shaking of the wood as projections slam against it. Not real, of course, but she doesn't know that. ]
The word sparks something in her, and the ground beneath her window begins to shift. It's a ramp at first, but then it begins to fold, steps forming as Ariadne fumbles with the window to climb out. ]
[ Good girl. Zachary waits, hand automatically moving to rub over his face when he realizes he's still holding the violin. Oh... right. Absently he begins to play, something much more soft and soothing than he currently feels capable of conveying otherwise. ]
[ The music helps, though she isn't sure why -- she'll think about it later, when her mind is clear. For now, though, she takes a shaky breath. ]
I... don't know.
[ She sits on the steps for a moment, looking at the city. There is a mist hanging over it, and people are running, screaming-- These are real, not illusions, but they are terrifying enough. ]

Hey-! Hey, calm down-

[ She doesn't understand, fear addling her mind, the toxic chemicals she's spraying to keep insects that aren't there away from her not helping. ]

[ He thinks, hard, tries to focus and present the image of a hazmat suit. Protection. ]
They can't touch you in one.

What about the window?

[ She goes to look, though, shuddering as the imagined insects and serpents slide against the suit.
Have a nice look out a second floor window, Zachary. ]

Doesn't look like it. Can you make a ladder or something to get out? Stairs?

[ She isn't sure what's going on either, and so she stays put like a frightened rabbit. If she doesn't move, they can't see her. ]
