[A feed snaps on to the face of a Pikachu. In the background is a half-panicked:]
No... no, no...
[The Pikachu blinks, calls "Pi-kaa?" and turns the camera to an old man aimlessly and roughly pacing in circles. He feels at his side for a moment, then shifts focus outward to every bit of his surroundings all at once, looking all around, up in the

.... So, it's you.
[Pretty civil all things considered.]

Under the circumstances he, ah-hem, left the battle in, he's more disturbed by the fact that he's seeing Logan at all - probably totally conscious of the monster dog behind him, as far as he can tell here. Not across dimensions or what have you but communicating in some way this place allows. Either something more happened during the battle, or...?]
Logan? ...What - happened?

You've been abducted as the rest of us have. Brought to this world for no apparent purpose other than training these [He motions towards the dog behind him.] creatures.
[That hint of hostility--or agitation, however you want to put it--is still present in his voice, of course. 'Fraternizing with traitors' is fairly close to 'being a tyrant' and 'putting up with Reaver' on his figurative list of things he doesn't like.]

Whatever you're yelling at, you'll probably have to wait a while for it to come out and fight you.

There's a woman young enough to be my daughter, at least, back in that house calling herself mother and I've got the brightest yellow - rabbity... thing I've ever seen making a point of staying on my tail. What a waste of a perfectly baffling setup it would be if it just popped up now.
Who're you?

I'm just someone who's been stuck in this world for a long while. If you want my name, I'll give it to you if you give me yours first.

You're talking to a wall, gramps. Been there, done that; whatever brought us here isn't looking to deal with the mess.
[ At least Walter has less property damage to show for his efforts...? ]

[Heather's got a soft spot for grizzly old dudes though, and the fact that he mentions he's dead piques her interest a little bit, since all things considered, he's handling it pretty well.]
... New, huh?

And as for this girl, her tone is quite a refreshing switch from the last three responses he's gotten. By the time he responds, that combined with what information he has gotten has cooled him down a bit.]
So it would seem.
Here to train - [Having difficulty finding a juicy word - settles for doing as Logan did and getting the Pikachu back within the camera and motioning over.] - these things, are we?

Basically.
It's not as bad as it seems, really.
And I say that as someone who was at least as angry as you were when I first got here.
[She's not really trying to make fun, just lighten the situation up a little bit. Humor is something Heather uses like a tool, and with the WAY she uses it, it's a bit like a Swiss Army Knife. Handy in all kinds of situations.]

And the attempt at lightening the mood is especially welcome after... any talk with Logan, but this one's shaping up to be especially sobering.
Short snort of a laugh.] Really. I cannot fathom what kind of business this mess caught you in the middle of.
[Thouuugh come to think of it, the Crawler, Silent Hill... it's not so dissimilar.]
