- that right?

[A smug-ish-looking Pikachu gives a "Chaa" and nod in the corner of the screen before slipping out of it.]

Good... Ah - thank you. Go figure, technology miles ahead of Albion's and even the animals can use it.

Anyway, I just wanted to ask if anyone could tell me anything - about the Gym. [Shifts standing spot and the camera, and ( Read more... )

Ohhhh, you're taking on Falkner? No worries, bro, the guy's a total pushover!

[ Not... necessarily true, but the kid's got a reputation to protect. Or thinks he does, anyway. Watch as he gives crummy battle advice. ]

Birds are really really fast, so, uh... be faster! Faster AND stronger. Way stronger. And use rock-types if you have them, they're good against birds.

[And watch Walter not know any better at all.

Although he's taking guesses on where the best place to find a rock would be.]

I think we'll take our chances without the rocks.

But, we should be capable of covering speed. I've got a Pikachu and a Pidgey with me and thought I might spend a day searching south of the city for... "recruits", if any of that makes a difference.

Which reminds me - how large of a team does he usually use?

Umm, two! No, three. Three really big birds. I think Pikachus are good against them, though, so you'll do fine.

But if you don't have rocks, you should definitely look for a Rattata, they're the best. I have one for a starter!

I've got a Pikachu who's been with me from New Bark Town, he should be toward level... fifteen, I would say, and, er - ["I caught" "He caught me a"?] - we caught a bird on the way here, ourselves. I've been trying to have 'em train at the same pace - he should be nearing ten.

I planned on catching a third, but I haven't the foggiest how strong the wild ones tend to be past the city just yet.
