So, Alameda Ceili went really well last night. We had a big old line of folks for Haymaker's Jig, 2 polka sets, lots of nifty, cool energy, saw a few new faces, lots of regulars, & a few old, familiar faces

I left the ceili after dancing ended and hung out talking next to my car for quite a while (as always). When I finally started driving down Park, at about 11:40, a few police officers were talking to the guy. And he was definitely more threatening than most of the similar people I've encountered.
Let's see... we had myself, Dave, Joel, Janelle and Frank, but Frank had snapped two strings on his mandolin and wasn't playing that night. So five total, four playing. As a muso, I have to say- it was a great evening! The band's definitely still coming together, but I anticipate that it won't be long before you guys have yourselves a hell of a tight little dance band!
I hope to be available to add to this band in about a month. I brought my mandolin back with me this time so I can get in some serious practice time on chords for the stuff what you're playing. Right now it's time to pack, put in notice at the apartment and with my boss (after they pay for my stupid MS test that I've already studied for so they should pay for me to actually take the test I never wanted in the first place). I hope to arrive still employed, but don't know yet. But I WILL arrive, cuz I'm tired of being up in West Hell while you all get to have all the fun!
Besides, my sweetie is down there. The world holds nothing even close to the importance of that fact!
