finally, yixing and luhan decide to date.
this is for my beautiful erica!
the first day they’re officially dating, yixing waits for luhan in front of his locker. they’ve been friends since middle school, they’ve walked to class together for years, but yixing gets a nervous pang in his stomach when he hears the bell ring. he shifts his weight and looks around for luhan in the crowded hallway.
he feels a soft pressure on his cheek. when he turns, luhan is moving away from his face, beaming, and all the nervousness lifts off of him. luhan grabs his hand, like it’s the most natural thing in the world, and pulls his things out of his locker.
“do you want to come over after school today?” luhan asks as they walk to the wing of the school where their classes are. it’s not like he hasn’t been to luhan’s house before, but when he thinks about sitting in luhan’s room and kissing him, his face turns bright red and he has to look away from luhan.
luhan stops walking, tugging on yixing’s arm and halting their walk.
“nothing has to change, you know,” he says, looking at his feet nervously. yixing leans forward and kisses him hard. he pulls away, noses grazing. it feels strange but it feels right.
“things can change,” he starts. “they should change. i want them to change. i-”
“get a room, you two!”
they look up in sync and see jongdae and chanyeol practically galloping towards them, grinning and snickering. they crash into yixing and luhan, throwing arms around them and dragging them down the hall in cacophonous laughter.
