Title-Love Takes Time Part 1
"Okay tell me again why you want to do this, asked Jack, his skateboard hooked under his arm. "So we make the last day of skool memorable and also to get Katie to notice me, said David, peering through the curtain, seeing the principal making a speech. "Okay dude you ready, asked David? "No, said Jack. "Good, said David, ignoring the fact that Jack said no. "Then let's go". David grabbed Jack's hand firmly, Jack getting dragged behind. They walked over to the skateboard ramps they set up and climbed up to the top. David looked at his friend Billy, who was by controllers and the curtain riser. Billy nodded in responce and shut the lights off, causing gasps and screams errupt in the autotorium. Daivd and Jack's stateboard's glowed, bathing them in pale blue, misty light. Suddenly, the song Numb by Linkin Park came on and the curtain rose. Everyone gasped. As soon as the chours of Numb came on David and Jack both slid down, the two slapping hands as they past each other. Everyone whooped, even Billy backstage did. Billy shone lights of all different colors and shapes on the ramp. The prinsipal was furious. He ran off the stage and stormed out of the autotoruim. When he left everyone went nuts. When Numb ended the song Headstrong by Trapt came on. When that was over the lights on the stage went back to normal and they got off the ramp. David ran toward the edge of the stage and slid down on his knees, almost falling off the edge. "Thank you everyone, he yelled. The whole skool errupted in huge screams, hollars, whoops, whistles, and banging. Jack slid down near his friend and giggled. "You guys rock, someone yelled. "We got more for you guys, yelled Jack. They both got up and the song Yeah by Usher came on. They both stood at opposite sides of the stage and strutted to the middle, bobbing thier heads. When they reached the middle they slapped hands then past each other. When they were done David got a mic and slid to the edge of the stage, squatting with his legs tucked under his butt. He held the mic in his hands. "I would like Miss Katie Smith to come up here please, said David. Katie was his crush and he was gonna try to get her to notice him. She walked up the stairs and went to the center where David was crouched. He turned toward her, still squatting. "Katie, said David, through the mic. "This is for you". The song Truly, Madly, Deeply started playing and he started singing to her. He took her hand and she smiled, tears in her eyes. When the song ended everyone went awwwwww and David kissed each of her knuckles. "I love you, he said, also having tears in his eyes. She burst into tears and crouched down to hug him. They hugged and rocked back and forth, both of them crying. Once they parted Katie took David's cheek in her hand and brushed her thumb on it. David's hand moved to her hip and they looked in each other's eyes. "I love you David, she said. "So do I, said David. Suddenly, their heads moved closer together and they kissed. Everyone clapped, cheered, and awwwed. They hugged again. "Well, said David. "You finally notice me". "I guess, said Katie. "And now that i do....i love you, she said. She put both her hands on David's cheeks and David smiled. She shook his head slightly, then plucked at his short spikes on his head. David looked in her eyes and she looked in his. They both saw one thing...love.
