that's what me and my blockmates did yesterday. it all started last tuesday night when i asked my blockmate jan where he was going from 1230-430 the next day since we have a General Assembly for LFC. he said he wanted to watch a movie, so i tagged along.
after math class, i invited some of our classmates celine, mel and debs to join us if they were free that afternoon. well, syempre si cel sumama! then si mel rin sumama since she only lives at prince david condominium, so we can simply drop her off on our way back to ateneo.
we were discussing our venue nung 1-hr break namin.
me: uii cge shang tayo. game.
cel: wait text ko mom ko
(minutes later)
cel: wag daw shang. masiyado malayo eh.
me: edi eastwood na lang. un na yung nearest. or metroeast.
(minutes later)
cel: traffic daw going to eastwood. sabi ng mom ko rockwell na lang daw tayo.
me: weh?! game!basta abot sa oras! wahahahaha :O
we also had chuckie and elsa with us. hehe saya saya! our initial plan was to first watch taxi at 2 pm then go back to ateneo right after the movie so that we'd be able to reach ateneo before 4:30. however, after watching taxi, one of us went "ui isa pang movie! lloyd and jan cut niyo na yung GA niyo!" all of them were game for that, so.. pati ako na rin! wahahaha
taxi is a cool flick! hot ng mga models dun! dang! whahahaha good movie to catch on a friday or saturday night! jimmy fallon is hilarious! sumakit talaga tiyan ko sa kanya! si queen latifah naman astig na taxi driver! ehehehe i wanna see the original french version of this one and compare its sense of humour with the american version, and hindi naman no-brainer or slapstick ang movie na to. if you're looking for a good movie to have a laughing spree, then put this on the list.
if you guys have seen l`appartement (the 1996 french film with monica belluci and vincent cassel), then i guess you might find wicker park to be quite disappointing. hindi ko masiyado naappreciate ang pagkagawa ng wicker park- the producer is trying to make the movie look bold, but the performances are blunt. iba ang pagportray ni alex sa french version compared sa alex (rose byrne) sa american version. the only thing i liked in wicker park is the ending- nastuck rin sa ulo ko yung scientist by coldplay!!! nice song! bagay sa ending!:)
and yes, iba ang ending ng wicker park sa l`appartement. baliktad nga eh. nagustuhan ko l`appartement kasi maganda pacing niya and ang ganda ng execution ng scenes niya, but ang pangit ng ending. wicker park naman, medyo dragging yung start and i dunno anong gusto iparating ng director with his lyricist effect, but i liked the ending of this one better than the french version. ayoko rin mga stars dito- they could have gotten bankable and better performers. no offense to those who find diane kruger hot, but for me she ain't.
